To celebrate, we’re hosting a special B Corp Panel Discussion: "The B Corp Journey: Building a Sustainable Future Together."
Join us for an inspiring conversation as we share our B Corp experience and explore how businesses, both big and small, can embrace the B Corp movement. Together, we’ll discuss how to build an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic system that benefits people and the planet.
We’ve invited three expert panelists to share their insights and experiences, and we hope this event will encourage and empower other local businesses to begin their own B Corp journey.
Panelists:
Aoife Mc Namara:Founder of Aoife Mc Namara, Ireland’s first B Corp fashion brand - an Earth-focused luxury brand, crafting modern heritage pieces, deeply rooted in Irish traditions. Inspired by nature and designed in harmony with the world around us, the brand champions quality over quantity, innovative ideas, and a strong sense of community. Aoife will speak about her mission to spark a movement that inspires changemakers to embrace and protect Mother Nature, her own B Corp journey and her recent summit of Kilimanjaro where she filmed her first documentary highlighting the devastating impact of the fast fashion industry on the Global South.
James McManus: Director of B Lab Ireland and founder of Earth's Edge, Ireland's premier sustainable travel company. James grew up in Tipperary and from an early age fell in love with the outdoors. He got his first job as a guide in 1999 and established Earth's Edge in 2007. He splits his time between running the business and leading four to five expeditions a year. Each year he climbs a big mountain in the greater ranges with friends. He is passionate about the importance of going on adventures in a fun, safe, and sustainable way.
Bernard Cahill:Our MC for the evening, Bernard spearheaded the Armada Hotel's B Corp certification process. The Armada Hotel became the first hotel in Ireland to achieve B Corp status, underscoring the hotel's commitment to balancing profit with purpose, and enhancing its brand reputation and appeal among conscientious visitors. Most recently, the hotel celebrated winning the Local Business of the Year at the 7th Irish Times Business Awards.
