Take the first steps to sustainably reconnecting with textiles by learning how to sew taught by our Head of Sustainability, Miriam Keegan @sew_sustainable_.This 2 and a half hour workshop is for complete beginners who want to learn how to sew for the very first time. During this workshop, you will create your own Christmas decoration from offcuts Aoife Mc Namara's signature wool pieces

Event Flow:

  • Introduction to the basics of sewing, including essential tools, materials, and terminology.
  • Teach fundamental sewing techniques, such as threading a sewing needle, using classic hand stitches, beading and creating a small beautiful craft you can keep.
  • Provide hands-on practise to reinforce learning and boost your confidence in sewing.

Who is this for:This experience is for everyone, but in particular, those who have never sewn before! No experience of sewing is required. We want to help everyone, no matter where they are in their sustainability journey, get the opportunity to put their own creativity and skills to work.
