Hello Friday 🙂 !! It has been one very intense week in college with Christmas break only 4 weeks away deadlines are starting to roll in!
As some of you may know I was away in London fabric shopping last weekend with my college which is always a great trip! But I’m not going to lie it was exciting and scary at the same time, with it being my final year things are starting to get serious for our Collection and with our show in May I know the time will just fly by.
Like I said on my snapchat (Inidieirishblog) I am going to share my favourite Fabric Shops with ye in this post.
So starting with the cheapest Shepard’s Bush which is located in west London by Westfield shopping centre, it is a street that has every fabric you could imagine. There is any shop in particular on this street that I would recommended, as there is a wide range of different materials depending on what your looking for fabric wise. But this is where we would buy most of our fabrics with a prices ranging from £5 – £30 a Metre. ( which is BRILLIANT!! )
Next Place I would recommended heading to, that I didn’t actually get out to this time is Woolcrest Textiles LTD, it is a hugh warehouse that is a bit out of the City Centre but it is full of fabrics in every colour and weight ranging from £2.50 – £40.
Lastly Berwich Street this is the most expensive street but it definitely stocks the higher quality fabrics!! This is located in the City Centre in Soho and if you are heading here I would definitely head to Dover Street Market after, this is where the ‘upper class’ shop but we would go to look at how the garments are constructed where they stock the up and coming fashion designers and amazing Comme Des Garçon Pieces. (DREAMY!!)
(ALL LOCATIONS ARE LINK ON NAME 🙂 )
